Publication of the 2012 GCE ordinary and Advanced level results is delayed due to a fire disaster that razed the results of thousands of candidates in the Extreme North of the country.
Some 2411 candidates shall re-write the GCE
Ordinary and Advanced Level in Mora, Extreme North Region with headquarter in Maroua.
This follows a fire incident this week that affected the Administrative
building of Government High School (Lycee Classique) Mora where corrected
scripts of these examinations from some twelve centres were kept.
The Minister of secondary Education (MINESEC)
today signed an Order authorising a special session of the examination to be
held in the affected centers to enable victims to re-write their papers. The Director
General of Public Examinations in the Ministry said everything possible would
be done for the special session to commence from Tuesday July third to July
seventeen. He added that only candidates registered in the affected centres
would be allowed to sit in for the examinations.
