A scholarship is usually a monetary award based on criteria given by the awarding party. It can be given on basis of academic
merit, athletic ability, financial needs or other criteria specific to the group giving the award. For example, there are many
scholarships available for only a specific minority including African Americans minority groups and women. Sometimes college
scholarships are given in a contest manner.

What kind of scholarship do you want?

What kind of scholarship do you want? This is a question you must find answers to before you begin a thorough scholarship search on the internet. Many will see this as a silly question to ask as no one would opt for a partial scholarship when a complete scholarship is available.
The best scholarship is undoubtably a full scholarship. A full scholarship takes care of all the charges related to a given course. Some scholarship awards cover only a part of a course. These are known as partial scholarships. These may take care of part of your tution fees. A scholarship may still be considered as partial even though it covers all of the tution fees. Partial or full are relative terms and could vary depending on what is considered as the whole and what is considered as the part.
